Why is it all of my programs that are causing problems today :)? You are online, aren't you? (You will get an error message if you try to add contacts in ICQ whilst offline). Are you able to see the newly added contact using a different ICQ client? Are you able to add this UIN with a different client? Are you able to add a different UIN as a contact? What happens if you add the contact to a different group, or to the top level? Do you have a LOT of contacts in your list?
