As far as I understand it, ImageMagick only manipulates existing images, 
it does not allow one to create new raster images.

Am I wrong? Can I use it to create pseudo-3D textures? Something like 
the simulated 3D of the dimples in a scroll bar?

I don't know about GraphicsMagick.
