Novel/Suse does not ship a version of most players that can play versions of multimedia formats that are propietary or copywrited for licensing reasons. There are, however, good repositories (such as Packman) that have everything you will need and are referred to in the article pointed to in the above mentioned article. Once you perform the very easy steps mentioned, you will be able to play DVD's, AVI's, streaming videos including the ones from YouTube and all of the news agencies I have tried and of course all of the M$ formats I am aware of.
