I think that is partly the point. The torrent file can be released any time, even before the actual content is accessible. Clients will wait until the seed(s) with the real content eventually appear. When that happens, all those clients will make the torrent live up to its name. Unless there is some technical reason, I like the idea. Maybe it is too late for 10.3, as it is on the way out the door.
