Done and built from the latest ATI release: [root Rankin-P35a/home/david] # rpm -qa | grep fgl ati-fglrxG01-kmp-default-8.41.7_2.6.22.5_30-1.1 x11-video-fglrxG01-8.41.7-5.1 > > http://opensuse-community.org/ati-legacy.ymp > > Do not run sax2 after installation. > > Check if symlink to Xgl is created properly: > > ll /usr/bin/X > lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Oct 21 23:02 /usr/bin/X -> /usr/bin/Xgl > > If it is not created, create it. > Currently it points to: [root Rankin-P35a/home/david] # l /usr/bin/X lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2007-10-12 02:38 /usr/bin/X -> /var/X11R6/bin/X* Here is where I think there is a problem. What am I supposed to do with the following link? [root Rankin-P35a/home/david] # l /var/X11R6/bin/X lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 2007-10-22 01:45 /var/X11R6/bin/X -> /usr/bin/Xorg* Is that the way it is supposed to be? If that is the case, shouldn't I link /usr/bin/Xgl to /var/X11R6/Bin/X? If we link to /usr/bin/Xgl to /usr/bin/X wouldn't that leave the broken link of /usr/bin/Xorg to /var/X11R6/bin/X hangin around that could cause problems? Really confusing link scheme.
