In my system, it's only Amarok that doesn't work with CD's .  Other
apps, such as Kaffine work fine.  Besides, do CD's need a codec?

BTW, how do you get rid of that "video" crap in Kaffine, when a CD is
playing?  I wish they wouldn't load down apps with such garbage.
