Hi Jon, Thanx for the response and the info. I've been away a while, and just noticed your mail to the list now. Yes I worked with RPM's, actually using YaST with the community repositories now standard in OpenSUSE 10.3, which includes many packages not on the standard repository and OSS DVD. I did restart apache then, but after I just tried it this morning, it works. It seems to work with OpenSUSE 10.3 as outlined in the link at nagios: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/quickstart-opensuse.html.
