Verses a hexagonal cylinder seem to the the two proper offerings out
there. Prism denotes its light scattering properties by default and a 3D
hexagon by implication. But, it doesn't strike me as totally non faux
pas. After looking at the dearth of information on the subject, I'm
going to make an executive decision, which may be a faux pas on my part,
but I'm amending my prior designation of "six-sided hexagon shaped cube"
to "hexagonal cylinder."
Through all the undergrad math, 3 calculus, linear algebra, diff. e.g.,
, partial diff. e.q. Fourier and Laplase transforms, perturbation
theory, strained coordidnates and strained time, and Poincare--Linstead
analysis, I still don't ever recall giving the thing a name. So
hexagonal cylinder it shall stay. ;-)
