And this is how I do it, to save myself the hassle with each new version
of Linux and with different versions of suse and ubuntu that I use in
parallel.
I use five easy steps....

-Download all TTF files from here (do this just once):
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=34153&package_id=56408&release_id=105355

-install them via wine (do this just once)
wine filename.exe

-install all the fonts via kde/desktop settings/administrative
settings/fonts/root mode. The directory to install from (usually) is:
yourhome/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts

-save the fonts folder from the previous step to a directory that you
keep and use this for all future installations of these fonts
IMMEDIATELY after each new Linux install.

-forget about it.

your additional bonus: Your fonts are also available for your
wine/windows applications, should you use some of them.

kind regards
Eberhard
