with another password.
This doesn't really simplify anything, and then when
root passwords are changed, THEN you have to your
"password vault" files on all of your systems as
well.
Plus, if you're not typing the root password regularly,
you're more than likely to forget what it is...then
when you need the root password in an emergency like
reviving a machine after a hardware failure...well
then, you're just screwed.
Remember, the idea of a "password vault" comes from
a company which is notorious for not giving a damn
if your systems are secure from intrusion or not.
