So I managed to make this work.
However, I still have some problems.
1) There is no more really several desktops like usually, only one
larger (I can setup more, but I see no difference). So I don't have
anymore small icons on the (8) virtual desktops I have on the taskbar.
I *have* the 8 desktops or at least 8 places in the cube :-), but I
can no more identify at a glance in which desktop is my desired
application
well... sometimes the right button menu of the compiz icon works (kwin
gives the old behavior), sometimes not :-(
