smbclient is far too clumsy to for anything other than occasional or
emergency use or testing.

I haven't gotten any errors in a long time because I know better than to even

you'll get is that timestamp bugs on legacy/lanman CIFS connects remain
unfixed even today. They're absolute bottom barrel priority, with only maybe
two people with the capability to develop necessary patches.
