I don't see why not fix now all relevant issues in the current cvs (also because they came in after adding the new features...), perhaps make some more work on updating examples, docs, then relase a 'major' webwork version and then take this version as the base for XWork...and then start (parallel?) a new development.
IMHO I think this procedure would give everybody the best result...
