Hi, I have problems to set my client X config to my monitors standard resolution of 1280x1024. I setup a new device with Resolution: 1280x1024. Then I added Refresh rate: 60Hz and finally Modeline: "1280x1024" 109.62 1280 1336 1472 1720 1024 1024 1026 1062.
DDC is working fine, vsync 56-76, hsync 30-81. I tested it also on different monitors. Whatever I set, everytime the monitor starts with 1024x768 resolution. In /var/log/Xorg.0.log I found this: ... (II) VESA(0): Generic Monitor: Using default hsync range of 30.00-81.00 kHz (II) VESA(0): Generic Monitor: Using default vrefresh range of 56.00-76.00 Hz (II) VESA(0): Not using built-in mode "1280x1024" (width too large for virtual size) ... When I change the local xorg.conf and restart the X server it works perfectly with 1280x1024.
