Looks like the BT stack supports only headset/handsfree operation.
At least "sdptool search DUN" fails to find anything.

Exactly.
While I'm really liking some features of this Linux-based device like FM transmitter, speech-input/output, display etc., the 'openness' is missing. Thinking about putting OpenStreetMap on that piece of hardware - how cool would that be... but no way.

Personally I refuse to update my TomTom and prefer my OpenMoko FreeRunner in certain cases (less functionality, better updates). And (some advertisement), there will be a next-generation FreeRunner with enough power to catch up with current gadgets:
