That is correct. You sholdnt have to specify the credentials anywhere other 
than in the "Credentials" and have a target associated with these.

Hehe. We discussed it yesterday and changed the message. The change was done 
to make people wonder less. Ignore that message. It might become important 
again once the manager is able to use multiple (different) credentials for 
multiple targets within one task.

Did you build openvas(-libraries) with optimization flags (e.g. -O2)? If so, 
please try again without optimization. There is a related bug, but afair the 
outcome was different. Still, might be worth a try.
