I dislike the language-split communities and information pools. If I see multiple mailinglist, forums, wikis or whatever I always have the feeling that I might miss something which might have been answered in another language. Also, if I see activity on e.g. japanese mailing list is higher than on english/general mailing list, I might loose interest (as I dont speak Japanese). The people who want to use OpenVAS have to able to read and understand english anyway. I understand that some people who will not be the actual user have interest and want to ask questions. Or, feel uncomfortable or ashamed about communicative english skills. Still, I would not advertise public discussions in one language other than english. Especially not for an english-only product (translations of gtk-client aside). Also, there are already "outside" discussion, like on the german ubuntu forum. The best solution I see would be to have single language-specific webpages. The content could be of sort "OpenVAS very active ... main community and product language of course english ...
