Has anyone gotten the OpenVAS Sourcefire escalator/connector to work in the wild? I've tried configuring the connector under three different fresh installs (Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS), and even on the demo appliance, and am always presented with a 500 "internal error" (screenshot attached) when testing the escalator. I have tried specifying both the hostname and IP addresses of the SourceFire Defense center, and have verified that the default port used (8307) is open on the DC. Any ideas? Is this a known issue? The logs aren't being particularly useful:
