I have ran the following, with results as follows:

1. Run "openvas-check-setup.sh --v5" and get error:
"number of NVTs in the OpenVAS Manager database is too low"

2. Run openvas-nvt-sync, it successfully syncs:

receiving incremental file list
sent 37 bytes received 1057027 bytes 140941.87 bytes/sec
total size is 151117133 speedup is 142.96
[i] Checking dir: ok
[i] Checking MD5 checksum:
ok

3. Start openvassd manually: "openvassd -p 9393", the plugins load, then I see it with ps:
"openvassd: waiting for incoming connections"

4. Run openvasmd --rebuild(while openvassd is running)

5. Run "openvas-check-setup.sh --v5" and get same error:
"number of NVTs in the OpenVAS Manager database is too low"

Any suggestions?
TIA

I downloaded and ran the openvas-check-setup and receive this error:

we recently switched the check script to default to OpenVAS-6.

Please apply "--v5" for the script and it will check the OpenVAS-5
you apparently installed.
