i guess many users are using OpenVAS internally automated and want to take 
notice if
whatever software is vulerable without the need to compare the results and want 
simply
add ports, machines and so on if there are new services, virtual machines to 
keep all
in one scan without the need to delete existing results (they are useful even if
the can't be compared as originally intentet)
