The problem you talking about was fixed in both OpenVAS *and* libmicrohttpd
long time ago. So i don't think it's related to libmicrohttpd.

Wrapping tools like dirb, w3af, ... make some problems and IMHO it
make no sense to run them through OpenVAS at the moment. However, Hani
is working on a solution for tools like that...

Otherwise there are no bugs in OpenVAS "stay open for years".
