I'm trying to install openvas 7 in CentOS 6 using the binaries from
atomic. I've run openvas-setup successfully (as far as I can tell).
When I run openvas-check-setup --v7 I get this:
Step 1: Checking OpenVAS Scanner ...
OK: OpenVAS Scanner is present in version 4.0.6.
OK: OpenVAS Scanner CA Certificate is present as
/var/lib/openvas/CA/cacert.pem.
OK: NVT collection in /var/lib/openvas/plugins contains 38861 NVTs.
WARNING: Signature checking of NVTs is not enabled in OpenVAS Scanner.
        SUGGEST: Enable signature checking (see
http://www.openvas.org/trusted-nvts.html).
Step 2: Checking OpenVAS Manager ...
OK: OpenVAS Manager is present in version 5.0.9.
OK: OpenVAS Manager client certificate is present as
/var/lib/openvas/CA/clientcert.pem.
OK: OpenVAS Manager database found in /var/lib/openvas/mgr/tasks.db.
OK: Access rights for the OpenVAS Manager database are correct.
OK: OpenVAS SCAP database found in /var/lib/openvas/scap-data/scap.db.
OK: OpenVAS CERT database found in /var/lib/openvas/cert-data/cert.db.
OK: sqlite3 found, extended checks of the OpenVAS Manager
installation enabled.
OK: OpenVAS Manager database is at revision 123.
OK: OpenVAS Manager expects database at revision 123.
OK: Database schema is up to date.
OK: OpenVAS Manager database contains information about 38861 NVTs.
        OK: xsltproc found.
Step 3: Checking OpenVAS Administrator ...
ERROR: No OpenVAS Administrator (openvasad) found.
        FIX: Please install OpenVAS Administrator.

If I try to install it (i.e., yum install openvas-administrator) I get
this error:
Package openvas-administrator-1.3.2-5.el6.art.i686 is obsoleted by
openvas-manager-5.0.9-28.el6.art.i686 which is already installed

One of these errors must be wrong but I'm not sure which one. Any
insight into this discrepancy would be helpful.

None of the services installed by openvas-setup seem functional.
openvasmd is running and listening on port 9390, openvassd is running
and listening on port 9391, and gsad is running and listening on 9392.
I can connect to all of these via telnet. However, if I try to do
anything such as GET / HTTP/1.0, all three services immediately close
the connection with no response.
