I'm trying to scan 6 hosts, and two of these hosts do not permit ICMP to them. Scanning the other 4 hosts would complete within 2 hours, but the two hosts that blocked ICMP were not scanned at all. I cloned the Full and Fast scan configuration, and the only thing I changed was "Mark unreachable as dead" from "Mark unreachable Hosts as dead (not scanning)" from no to yes, "Do an ICMP ping" from yes to no, and "Do a TCP ping" from no to yes. All hosts show up, but the scans now run for 3 days. Very little traffic is generated to these hosts. Can someone point me to a way to optimize this? I've been searching around for a solution, but no success so far.
