You can get XML, HTML, or PDF, all from the open-source version even with OpenVAS8.
I've been doing it for several months and it works fine if you have the TeX dependencies needed. As discussed, through OpenVAS's own official interface, you can't re-convert the already exported XML to PDF over again, but somebody else from Greenbone I think already replied how to do it manually using the XSLT and some other tools. So I don't understand, what is still a problem now and what's been fixed? Matthew.
