IRC is synchronous way of communication, it is no suitable for distributed volunteer team. Proper discussion of design is done differently, perfecting a design document and interface specifications. If there was such process, it does not mean that all participates at that time had the skills to evaluate the suggested solution. Anyway, if there was a design process, I will appreciate if you can send a design document, as this is not a small/niche feature, it will effect the majority of Windows users. Alon
