[ ... ] I know that; usually the simplest questions require great answers ;-) The "full" process has some configuration of components and some simple workflows which will evolve in time; it's some kind of bill of materials for a very specific domain where each two/three years the components change (rules change); workflows can change also. Surely I must re-read your proposition and Patrice's one. Work with something like drools looks ok because I don't know Ruby too much, but I don't like to mix a lot of tools in a project (drools+ruote+guice+...). I like a lot ruote's clear definition of processes and rules. Surely I must make some tests; for now, it's enough for me to know that it's possible and that someone already has used it.
