Hello Chris, welcome to the ruote mailing list. I set up your example and ran it. Here is the setup: https://gist.github.com/4630056 Please note, I have added a NOISY switch for the runner. The worker picks up the work alright but ends up in an error: https://gist.github.com/raw/4630221/006ea2b3cd4df5e44939a5ae2ac74cee5e22a99f/error.txt Simplifying the participant makes the error go: https://gist.github.com/4630107 Since the NOISY mode couldn't be used for the worker, I first determined that the worker actually worked by looking at the ruote_issue_worker folder. I noticed that the workflow instance was created and also noticed that it ran into an error (error document created). I enabled the noisy mode to have the output in the console. I hope it helps.
