Unfortunately no. That changeset you will see says :
/* NB: INTMIT was not implemented so that it could be enabled/disabled,
* and actually in 0.9.30.13 HAL it really can't even be disabled because

* in the HAL.
So this fix won't work with the madwifi used by openwrt because it
depends on the 0.9.30 HAL, which is broken.
However, using this patch, it seems I should be able to switch to the
(working) 0.9.4 madwifi :
