Hello Luca,
I'd like to know if ifxmips is currently flashable on an
arcadyan based
router (isp7908-a) with the brn bootloader.
Looking at the sources I can see some references to brn in the mtd
driver, but there are no instructions anywhere about the
ifxmips port,
on which boards it can be used, what works and what doesn't, how to
flash back the original os, etc., etc.
... currently I'm using the ifxmips with the normal ifx eval boards.
Usually this boards are equipped with uboot (beside some adm5120 based ref
designs).
Thanks, but is this the only board is it supposed to run?
Be careful - in some cases the uboot env is not at the beginning of the flash.
Just using the ifxmips would destroy the uboot env in this case.
Danube/Twinpass/ARX100 based devices are less critical because of the built in rom
code -> you can download even a new uboot if you find the acc. boot strap pin.
My router is danube based, but it uses the brn bootloader, not uboot.
Last time I heard from blogic on this list, he told he had it running on
the arcadyan board, but I still cannot find any documentation about it.
Bye

Luca
