Dear all
I promised to post an agenda for the patch process meeting sunday on irc
-devel @ 19:00 UTC.
The generel discussion has concerned two central points. first, how is
the patch submission process in reality working? Secondly, in what way
does an individual become an OpenWrt developer?
Patch submission; several individuals have voiced the issue that patches
submitted to the mailing-list, or in Trac, have been un-acknowledged.
There has been no reply from any of the current developers, and the
submitter wonders what is wrong (is the patch itself flawed, is the
patch-process not working etc.)
Becoming a developer; is a topic of concern. The general position of the
OpenWrt developers is the well-known: Do good work and you will gain
access right to the repository/Trac.
Agenda:
1. Patch process:
- is the current patch process understandable?
- what other ways of doing things are available?
- is better documentation needed?
- OpenWrt ombudsmand?
2. Developer:
- how to better the inclusion of new committers?
- mentor-system?
3. Other things?
