This updates and syncs tools/mtd-utils and packages/utils/mtd-utils to one common codebase. In order to prevent kernel panics I had to use a recent version of mtd-utils to generate an ubi image on the host and flash it using ubiformat on the target (kirkwood in my case).
I use this for almost 2 weeks now, fixed some things here and there meanwhile.
