Hello,

I have been playing with a ZyXEL WAP6805, which appears to be an OEM
version of the https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ZyXEL_WAP6806_(Armor_X1)

This thing has an oversized mini-PCIe Quantenna module. Or that's the
mechanical form factor. The connection between the MT7621 and the
Quantenna QT3840BC appears to be RGMII, ref the OEM bootlog below.
Notice how this brings up both eth2 and eth3 and add them to the br0
bridge. The Quantenna module loads u-boot and a firmware image using
tftp, and it is then managed over the ethernet interface.

So I was looking for a quick way to enable the second ethernet port on
the MT7621, but can't find any. Am I looking the wrong place, or am I
right that the support for this is still lacking? Any idea how many
bits and pieces are missing?

Hi Bjørn

making gmac2 work s not trivial with the current driver. however
making the upstream mtk_eth_soc driver work on mt7621 is pretty easy i
think and will give you dual gmac support. upstream only supports
mt7623 arm atm. its been on my todo list for a while but i simply have
not been able to find the 2-3 days required to make it work.

John, include me in testing list when you do :)
