Did you actually try to use the RC2 with default settings (i.e. don't keep
old settings / reset to factory defaults). I suspect there are some old
settings lingering around that do something bad. I also saw you mentioning
dhcp6c and its config file. We don't use that by default for well over a
year in trunk / BB.
