#17358: Linux wireless mac80211 DFS test----Whether support lock-in DFS or not?
--------------------------+----------------------------------
 Reporter: liuquancheng | Owner: developers
     Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: highest | Milestone: Chaos Calmer (trunk)
Component: kernel | Version: Trunk

 Hi all,
We use the SW version and development environment as follows:
 Development Environment: OpenWrt trunk version
 Linux Wireless: compat-wireless-2014-05-22(ath9k, mac80211, cfg80211,
 nl80211)
 SOC: Atheros AR9344 chip
 Wireless Configuration tool: iw-3.15

Currently, our product is testing DFS for CE certification. And our test
discovers that Linux wireless mac80211 of OpenWrt trunk version support
DFS function. However, For testing, we need to lock-in DFS in order that
no allow channel to jump it. Whether the Linux wireless tools(such as, iw)
 support this function or not?

As is well known, Atheros and Broadcom SDK package have the tool that
 supports lock-in DFS as follows:
 1. Atheros
 For DFS test,
 1) radartool usernol 0 (lock-in DFS channel in order to no allow channel
 to
 jump it.)
 2) radartool usernol 1 (unlock, DFS channel will jump it when detecting to
 radar.)
 2. Broadcom
 For DFS test,
 wl -i wl1 dfs_ism_monitor (set 1=lock-in DFS channel, set 0=unlock DFS
 channel)
Hoping sincerely that you can give us to a reply.

     Thanks,
     liuquancheng
