I tried with kernel 3.14.8 with the latest trunk and compat-
wireless-2014-09-26 that comes with it, it still doesn't work, but it's
not the same problem.
looks like this, but nothing more:

I won't even let me scan and it does't show up in "iw list".
Same problem with kernel 3.10.49 and same compat-wireless (in compat-
wireless-2014-09-2 trunk and BB 14.07).
It doesn't look a kernel problem because changing the kernel does't solve
the problem.
However, when using compat-wireless-2014-05-22, it's the same problem of
not authenticating, it does't matter what version (kernel or openwrt)
either.
Same here, kernel does't change anything.
In conclusion, looks like the problem is the compat-wireless drivers which
needs to be updated/patched.
Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to fix it.
Can provide more info if needed.
