Essentially any firmware after OpenWrt Barrier Breaker r40698 / LuCI Trunk
(svn-r10265) in June 2014 is unusable due to ath10k's unbearably slow
wireless speeds. I have tried to update to the newest build several times
since then, but I always return to my custom compiled r40698 since the
5ghz wifi speed is roughly cut in half with anything later than that
build.
