Hello,
openwrt backfire seems to support the kirkwood platform, which includes
(as per release post on openwrt.org) marvell sheevaplug and the recent
guruplug server/plus.

I'm having an hard time at booting any openwrt kernel on such hardware,
though. I've tried both the stock uImage and custom built ones; while I
can easily boot recent ( >= 2.6.33 debian kernels), and the stock
Guruplug kernel itself is a recent debian one (can't rembember if 2.6.32
or 2.6.33), I'm unable to boot any openwrt backfire 2.6.30 kernel.

Guruplug seems quite a recent addition to the mainline kernel:

Even solving some issues with U-Boot by reflashing a more recent one, or
just patching mach_types.h doesn't seem to help.

Has backfire ever been tested with success on a Guruplug Server/plus, or
was it just an assumption since it was kirkwood-based ?
