I went the other way.  I had been using an old PC running Debian as my
router, but replaced it with a D-Link DIR-825 running OpenWrt.
Advantages:
  - about $50 on eBay
  - supports gigabit Ethernet, 802.11N, and USB
  - completely silent
  - uses less than 25W
Learn something new and help save the planet! :-)
