Hi,

I'm trying to build the backfire branch with the linux kernel 3.2 in
backfire.

Why I want to this:

A) I want to use backfire because it is relatively stable
B) I want/need the 3.2 kernel because it has newer features (besides 2.6 is
not actively updated anymore).

(Note that I am only intrested in the x86 target, to reduce the work I have
to do).

So I know I will be on my own to backport patches and fixes from the trunk,
and I don't mind that.

But I'm having troubles just trying to get OpenWrt start compiling...

Clearly copying target/linux/ from trunk to backfire branch does not work.
(it says "Please Fix target/linux/x86/Makefile", among many others).
Also changing the kernel version (to 3.2.9) in the x86/Makefile does not
work ("The generic kernel config for your kernel version is missing. ").

Can anyone help me with this.

Greetings,
Nathan
