Hello,

You also have to cherry-pick some changes in trunk/include.

I suggest you to tour the OpenWRT trunk timeline to find commits that relates
to the support of Linux 3.0.

Best regards,

Hi,

I'm trying to build the backfire branch with the linux kernel 3.2 in backfire.

Why I want to this:

A) I want to use backfire because it is relatively stable
B) I want/need the 3.2 kernel because it has newer features (besides 2.6 is not
actively updated anymore).

(Note that I am only intrested in the x86 target, to reduce the work I have to
do).

So I know I will be on my own to backport patches and fixes from the trunk, and
I don't mind that.

But I'm having troubles just trying to get OpenWrt start compiling...

Clearly copying target/linux/ from trunk to backfire branch does not work. (it says
"Please Fix target/linux/x86/Makefile", among many others).
Also changing the kernel version (to 3.2.9) in the x86/Makefile does not work ("The
generic kernel config for your kernel version is missing. ").

Can anyone help me with this.

Greetings,
Nathan
