is it right, that you have version 10.03.1 on your router and you would
like to upgrade to the current version?

I understand the reservations (I bricked and fixed two routers), but
there is no warranty. The related articles in the wiki point the
possibilities of success or failure.

If I don't really need the upgrade, I would wait for another release but
if you have a second device, you could try.

Sometimes I reinstalled the original firmware to start again. If the
install of openwrt was very easy, it could be an option.

The next step is your turn, except someone in this list knows more.
