knowing next to nothing about captive portals, i'm sure this is a
silly question but what is the state of the art for that kind of
openwrt software?

  i'm reading this:

and just trying to figure out how those packages relate. it *seems*
that:

 * nodogsplash is a *simple* solution
 * wifidog is far more complete and sophisticated

is that correct? would one choose one or the other, but not both? is
there a general preference?
