I made it thru the steps and got logged on. Since I didn't know what
I really might have done or where to fix it... I decided to make use
of the `firstboot'.. (this was after mount_root).

I had cd'd to /etc/config and had vi network... a bit before
firstboot.

I noticed .. after calling `firstboot' there is no longer an
/etc/config/network file in there. Several `wireless*' files bit the
dust too.

So is there really supposed to be no /etc/config/network in the
default state?

Still boning up on your citations... but haven't seen anything so far
to let me know that its proper not to have any /etc/config/network in
default state...
