I have been reading about serial port debricking and Serial Console http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/port.serial
There are so many different options discussed that the simplest situation gets lost in the complexity. If your router has a usb port like the netgear WNDR3700 and your computer has a usb port, does that mean that you can debrick with a simple USB data cable like this? http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-54170-Cable-Black/dp/B003VTZ070/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1431391833&sr=8-7&keywords=usb+data+cable Or is some voltage level changing or null modem wire swaping needed?
