So many years ago I was using OpenWrt Attitude Adjustment and I was
testing this patch:
https://github.com/zioproto/attitude_adjustment/commit/a6bb428de21cb9202a7afe8193aa417ce8d059e4

this is a very old code base, but it gives you the idea on how to
develop a similar patch on OpenWrt today.

if your device supports Attitude Adjustment, you can even compile that
tree and flash the firmware on your device. It should work. Try at
your own risk.

please always respect regulation when patching the firmware.
Transmitting on bands where you are not allowed will cause problems
like the FCC lockdown. Because we all want to continue to have
hackable devices, we should also be nice to each other and transmit
within the rules :)
