* openxpki-client and openxpki-scep have been merged into the core package* deployment is no longer necessary as we get rid of the templated xml config system, you just can copy the config and need to adjust your settings using your favourite editor
* openxpki-client-html-mason and openxpki-i18n still exist
2. More specifically, in the section "Starting from scratch" do you mean that cd openxpki/core/server perl Makefile.PL make installs all the tools listed above? If not, how the rest of the tools should be installed (let us put debian and ubuntu packages aside for a while)?
The "from scratch" tutorial is incomplete and just covers the core setup for now. The i18n and the mason stuff are mainly unchanged and still have their own Makefile in core/i18n/ and clients/perl/OpenXPKI-Client-Mason
3. As you say "make sure that the en_US.utf8 locale is installed", does it mean that i18n of the GUI is no longer supported by the generic tarball of ver.0.11.3.1?
It is supported, I just observered that the gettext library seems to require en_US system locale (not the oxi stuff) to be installed and crashes otherwise. I did not track that down for now, any help/ideas are appreciated.
4. As you say "it is crucial that you have the mysql server installed", does it mean that other databases are no longer supported?
We still have Oracle in production at our customer. We did not touch the other drivers, but we also did not test them - so they should work but I wont give a gurantee.The background of this hint is: The sample config uses mySQL and the debian scripts do some actions on the DB layer - therefore you need to have the database installed to do the init if you just testdrive the system.
Best regards Oliver
