I would rather have preferred a process where it was stage-launched
through two rounds through the dependency chain. Hopefully, there'll be
no issues in opm-core.

Que? When I build, I see lib/libopmverteq.so.1.0.debug.
I don't consider the examples as worthy enough of having their own
package as they are not quite as turnkey as I would have liked, but they
anyway located in the examples/ with their own CMakeLists.txt (to
illustrate how to build your own).
I see a least one major SNAFU; all modules have "2013.03" as label as
1.0 as version in dune.module, except opm-upscaling which has
"2013.09-PRE". This should be fixed as quickly as possible, after it is
decided whether the compatibility level warrant an "1.1" or if "2.0" is
necessary as version number.
