That would lead to a large gap between releases, which may be unfortunate. On 
the other hand, you are right that we should avoid battling with a release 
schedule at this point.

There is no compromise either, since during summer many of us will be gone, and 
communication slows a lot. So it's either before summer, or in the fall.

Since those who have weighed in on this issue are in favour of not doing a 
release very soon, I'll postpone this until after the summer unless differing 
opinions are voiced. Although if the situation looks stable by the end of April 
I might like to do a release earlier, I'll get back to the list with that 
question if I feel it is appropriate and doable.
