Correct, I'm not asking for a change.

If there were 100 sources of info (100 RIRs...), then the question of which
protocol to use would need more instruction.   Given 5... meh.
*FTP* surprised me on first read but it's a definitely good choice for bulk.
If some RIR didn't support RDAP or wanted RDAP rather than FTP or... all
things that can be tweaked, given that there are only five.
