This is what I have in my /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf:
traphandle default /usr/local/nagios/bin/snmptrap2nagios disableAuthorization yes In addition to that, check if there are any exceptions in Opsview web interface -> Configuration -> SNMP traps -> SNMP trap exceptions Regards, Rimvydas Sneideris From: opsview-users-boun...@lists.opsview.org [mailto:opsview-users-boun...@lists.opsview.org] On Behalf Of Ilse Dupont Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2010 10:32 AM To: Opsview Users Subject: Re: [opsview-users] SNMP Trap setup Hey, Thanks for the idea, but it still doesn't listen on port 162. Is that the only line needed in that file btw? I checked the file /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf and it seems it doesn't belong to any package. Therefore, you need to create it by hand and enter the information as specified in Opsview guide. I followed this guide http://docs.opsview.org/doku.php?id=opsview3.6:snmptrapsetup, but there is no /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf file, and I can't seem to find any other guides. Current machine runs on CentOS 5. Does anyone know what steps I have to follow to make it work? Thank you in advance, Ilse
